This 3rd edition of HSE L73 does not contain the new guidance that will come into effect on the 6 April 2012. The new guidance on the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR) is contained in HSE L73 4th Edition.

Provides guidance on the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) which came into force in April 1996. It includes the text of the Regulations and aims to make their requirements clear.

This third edition contains the same regulations (with minor changes to regulation 2) but brings the associated guidance up to date, particularly in relation to the changes in reporting arrangements and the need to use the Incident Contact Centre (ICC). Other amendments have been made to reflect changes in other legislation, e.g. the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2007. Schedule 2 has been revised to take into account the Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations 2005.
