The second editon of L25 provides guidance on the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992, which came into force in 1993. Since then, they have been amended by the Police (Health and Safety) Regulations 1999; the Health and Safety (Micellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2002; and the Ionising Radions Regulations 1999.

This new version sets out the changes to regulations 3, 4, 6 and 9, supported by new guidance, and also refelcts the latest develppments in most personal protective equipment.(PPE)

The book is split into two parts:

Part 1: Guidnance on the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992
This sets out the Regulations, followed by the guidance on each regulation.

Part 2 Selection, Use and Maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
This part provides more detail on the types of PPE available, hazards which may require PPE to be used and advice on selection, use and maintenance.

It includes guidance which deals with:

Hand and arm protection
Protective clothing(including the legs)
