The Approved Supply List (ASL) is an integral part of the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 2002 (CHIP).

The ASL (8th Edition) supports the CHIP (Amendment) Regulations 2005 (CHIP 3.1). The ASL contains detailed information about sustances to help manufacturers, importers and suppliers with responsibilities under CHIP.

The Approved Supply List contains:

Information to be shown on labels when the substance is supplied in packages
Information to be used to derive the classification and supply labels for preparations containing the substance.

Part 2: Einecs and other descriptions of certain Substances listed by Index numbers
